THE PRINCE OF PEACE IS BORN! O Come Let us Adore Him

"On entering the house, they found the child with Mary his mother. They prostrated themselves and did him homage." (Matt 2:11)

"Man can only contemplate his presence, prostrating himself in adoration and praise." (Pope John Paul II, October 31, 2001, General Audience)

"St. Francis of Assisi had the very first live Nativity Pageant, in a stable, one Christmas Eve. All of the children of the village and their parents were there for Holy Mass and took part in acting out the first Christmas. After the consecration of the Mass, when the Priest prayed over the bread and wine and said, This is My Body This is My Blood, the Baby Jesus appeared! They were all awed at this most wonderful miracle! Jesus in the Holy Eucharist was the love and center of the life of St. Francis. It was Jesus in the Holy Eucharist that gave him the love and the strength to serve the poor." (From our CH-C Booklet) Because St. Francis spent many hours prostrating himself in Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, he was given the grace to work tirelessly for justice and peace. He wrote, "I beg you to show the greatest possible reverence and honor for the most holy Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom all things, whether on earth or in heaven, have been brought to peace and reconciled with Almighty God."

"It is urgent that a choral invocation be raised from earth to heaven, to implore from the Almighty, in whose hands is the destiny of the world, the great gift of peace." (Pope John Paul II, Nov. 2001)

"The Holy Eucharist is the continuation of Christs Incarnation on earth, where the same Jesus born two thousand years ago in Bethlehem is as truly present with us now as He was then. Again, He comes quietly and humbly. Again, only the humble can see, with the eyes of faith, the humble Jesus hidden in the Blessed Sacrament. This is the faith that prompts you to come and adore Him. If we could see Him (in human form) with our eyes, everyone would run out to welcome Him, even in the middle of the night. But He remains hidden in the Blessed Sacrament because He is calling us to faith that we may come to Him in humility. Your sacrifice of time spent in Eucharistic Adoration is the gold, frankincense and myrrh that pleases Him. Your sacrifice is of more value than all the gifts in the world. Your sacrifice is the key that opens the door of His Heart and allows the gifts of His graces and blessings to flow to the whole world, in order that the promise of Jesus coming may be fulfilled: 'Glory to God in the highest and peace on earth to those on whom His favor rests.'" (Lk. 2:14) (From our A-2 Pamphlet)

"The Eucharist completes the restoration begun in the Crib. Make merry therefore on this beautiful day, on which the sun of the Eucharist is rising. Let your gratitude never separate the Crib from the Altar, the Word made flesh from the God-Man made Bread of Life in the Most Blessed Sacrament." (St. Peter Julian Eymard)

"Whoever really takes this [Communion/Adoration] as his daily bread, experiences each day the mystery of Christmas, the Word made flesh." (St. Teresa Benedicta, Edith Stein)

HOW TO FIND CHRISTMAS PEACE IN A WORLD OF UNREST? "How to find Christmas peace in a world of unrest? You cannot find peace on the outside but you can find peace on the inside, by letting God do to your soul what Mary let Him do to her body, namely, let Christ be formed in you. As she cooked meals in her Nazarene home, as she nursed her aged cousin, as she drew water at the well, as she prepared the meals of the village carpenter, as she knitted the seamless garment, as she kneaded the dough and swept the floor, she was conscious that Christ was in her; that she was a living Ciborium, a monstrance of the Divine Eucharist, a Gate of Heaven through which a Creator would peer upon creation, a Tower of Ivory up whose chaste body He was to climb to 'kiss upon her lips a mystical rose.' "As He was physically formed in her, so He wills to be spiritually formed in you. If you knew He was seeing through your eyes, you would see in every fellow man a child of God. If you knew that He worked through your hands, they would bless all the day through. If you knew He spoke through your lips, then your speech, like Peter's, would betray that you had been with the Galilean. If you knew that He wants to use your mind, your will, your fingers, and your heart, how different you would be. If half the world did this there would be no war!" (Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen)

Mary, the Model of Adorers "Virgin Immaculate, you are the perfect model of adorers of the Blessed Sacrament. You adored Jesus in the little white Host with the same faith, reverence and wonder with which you adored Him on the first Christmas night and during all the years you lived with Him. Teach us not to forget that the small white Host is truly our God, infinite, eternal and omnipotent." (From our A-7 Pamphlet)

"May a constant invocation for peace rise in the Church with the praying of the Rosary, either individually or in community, keeping our gaze fixed on Jesus Christ, our peace." (Pope John Paul II, Oct. 14, 2001. He has repeated this plea several times to date). Our Lady Queen of Peace, pray for us!
