The Eucharist--The Sacrament of His Death and Resurrection "'Rabbi, where are you staying?' Each day the Church responds: Christ is present in the Eucharist, in the sacrament of His death and resurrection. In and through the Eucharist, you acknowledge the dwelling-place of the Living God in human history. For the Eucharist is the Sacrament of the Love which conquers death. It is the Sacrament of the Covenant, pure Gift of Love for the reconciliation of all humanity. It is the gift of the Real Presence of Jesus The Redeemer, in the bread which is His Body given up for us, in the wine which is His Blood poured out for all." (Pope John Paul II, World Youth Day 1997, Paris, France) When we come to the Eucharist, we come to the Resurrection, for this is where our Risen Savior dwells! When we come before Our Eucharistic Lord in Adoration He showers us with an outpouring of His healing love, mercy and grace. We must run to Him and bring our loved ones and everyone with us. Each and every Holy Hour of Adoration we make will shorten the time until He will bring about a new day, the resurrection of His people, His church, and His world! He is "the Lamb on the throne" who shepherds us, He is the source of "life-giving water" who "will wipe every tear" from our eyes (Rev 7:17). Through our Eucharistic Adoration we witness to His resurrection and tell the world: "He is risen ... He is here!" (Lk 24:34). "My strength and my courage is the Lord and He has been my Savior!" (Is 12:2).

Meditations from St. Louis de Montfort--Apostle of Jesus and Mary

"In The Blessed Sacrament/God loves us so tenderly,/He empties Himself completely./O, who could believe it?/Withholding nothing, He gives his all./ He gives his flesh for us to eat/He gives his blood for us to drink./He gives his soul, his infinite being/To transform us into Himself./Praised be the Blessed Sacrament!" (Hymn No. 30, 3rd Stanza) "Faithful child of the Blessed Sacrament, what profit, what wealth, what pleasure is yours kneeling at the feet of the generous and inestimable Lord of lords. Be brave, take courage, enrich yourself and rejoice as you burn yourself out each day like a lamp. The more you give of yourself, the more God will give of Himself to you!" (From a letter to his sister, Louise, a Benedictine of the Blessed Sacrament) "O Mother of Mercy, be filled with your Son's glory, and leave what you have over to your little ones (Ps. 16:4).... Through you we have shared in the fruit of life at the table of these present sacraments. Through you may we share at the table of everlasting joys in the same fruit of life, Jesus, the blessed Fruit of your womb, to whom be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen." "Christ is risen! In him is my faith, my love; in him I live. He sang us a love song from the moment of his birth to the moment of his death and unto his resurrection. At the moment of his ascension--which comes soon--he will leave us tokens of his love: first, himself in the celebration of the Eucharist and in the Blessed Sacrament, and in his priests. For he is so in love with us that though he went to the Father, he remained with us. Only God can do that." (Catherine de Hueck Doherty, foundress of Madonna House)

St. Catherine of Siena--Doctor of the Church

St. Catherine of Siena was a lay woman and third order Dominican who lived at a time when there was great corruption, division, and schism within the Church. Catherine spent her life praying and working to help bring about the true renewal and restoration of the one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church that she loved so much. Where did Catherine receive the grace, strength, wisdom and knowledge to have such an important and profound effect on the entire Church? From Jesus Himself in the Blessed Sacrament, in daily Mass, Communion and Adoration. He gave her all of the strength and courage she needed to work tirelessly in bringing about the restoration of our Church!

Reflections from St. Catherine of Siena

"O boundless charity! Just as you gave us yourself, wholly God and wholly man, so you left us all of yourself as food so that while we are pilgrims in this life we might not collapse in our weariness but be strengthened by you, heavenly food. O mercenary people! And what has your God left you? He has left you himself, wholly God and wholly man, hidden under the whiteness of this bread. O fire of love! Was it not enough to gift us with creation in your image and likeness, and to create us anew to grace in your Son's blood, without giving us yourself as food, the whole of divine being, the whole of God? What drove you? Nothing but your charity, mad with love as you are!"

"We humbly adore Thee in this Sacrament of Thy power and love. We will ever honor Thy adorable person by coming into Thy sacred presence with due reverence, and will strive to repair the outrages offered to Thee by loving and venerating Thee with all our hearts."

Prayer for Priests

O my Jesus, I beg You on behalf of the whole Church: Grant it love and the light of Your Spirit, and give power to the words of priests so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance and return to You, O Lord. Lord, give us holy priests; You yourself maintain them in holiness. O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of Your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devils traps and snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. May the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests, for You can do all things. (St. Maria Faustina Kowalska of the Blessed Sacrament)
