The Resurrection: "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive . . . honor and glory and praise" (Rev 5:12).

The glorious resurrection of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ continues on in the Eucharist, the Paschal Mystery! Jesus is the Lamb Who "was wounded for our transgressions," that through the gift of His Holy Body and Blood--always present in the most Blessed Sacrament--we may be made whole, at peace, and healed (Is 53:5). From the Holy Eucharist, the power of Jesus' love and mercy pour forth.

"In celebrating the sacrifice of the Lamb, we are united to the heavenly 'liturgy' and become part of that great multitude which cries out: 'Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb!' (Rev 7:10). The Eucharist is truly a glimpse of heaven appearing on earth. It is a glorious ray of the heavenly Jerusalem which pierces the clouds of our history and lights up our journey" (Pope John Paul II, Ecclesia de Eucharistia, 19).

"The mercy of God, hidden in the Blessed Sacrament, the voice of the Lord who speaks to us from the throne of mercy: Come to me, all of you" (Jesus to St. Faustina).

"I see the angelic choirs giving You honor without cease, and all the heavenly Powers praising You without cease, and without cease they are saying: Holy, Holy, Holy. . . . I adore You, Lord and Creator, hidden in the Most Blessed Sacrament. . . . Would that I be transformed into a hymn of adoration of You" (St. Faustina, Divine Mercy in My Soul).

Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is worthy of the unceasing Adoration of humanity for all that He has done for our salvation. John saw the faith of the people in action. They were going before the Lamb on the Throne, Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, day and night "without pause" (Rev 4:8). From the Lamb there flowed a river of grace and love that "healed all the nations" (Rev 22:1, 2). This is the power, value and importance of your Holy Hour. Through Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration we answer Jesus--love for Love, and He unleashes His rays of healing upon us, our families and the whole world! In the words of Jesus to St. Mary Faustina of the Blessed Sacrament: "I desire that Adoration take place for the intention of imploring Mercy for the world." Are you willing to spend one Holy Hour each week with Jesus so that your parish may give Him the glory of having Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration?

"You left us Yourself in the Sacrament of the Altar, and You opened wide Your mercy to us. There is no misery that could exhaust You; You have called us all to this fountain of love, to this spring of God's compassion. Here is the tabernacle of Your mercy, here is the remedy for all our ills . . . . Be adored, O God, in the work of Your mercy . . . . Here is the living fountain of Your mercy, here souls receive consolation and refreshment" (St. Faustina, Divine Mercy Diary).

Start and spread Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in your parish and community today! Resurrection of Our Lord, Easter--Jesus is Risen. Alleluia!--April 11 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy we have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and to an inheritance which is . . . kept in Heaven for you" (1 Pet 1:3).

St. Bernadette, Lourdes Visionary and Nun (1844-1879), France--April 16 She prayed the Rosary through the night, and "placed herself as it were in adoration before the Tabernacle. On her curtains had been fastened the picture of a monstrance. 'One glance at this picture gives me the longing and strength to immolate myself, when I am feeling my loneliness and my pains'" (St. Bernadette Soubirous, Francis Trochu).

Feast of Divine Mercy, Second Sunday of Easter--April 18 "Behold, for you I have established a throne of mercy on earth--the tabernacle--and from this throne I desire to enter into your heart. You can come to me at any moment, at any time; I want to speak to you and desire to grant you grace." "My Heart overflows with great mercy for souls, and especially for poor sinners. If only they could understand that I am the best of Fathers to them and that it is for them that the Blood and Water flowed from My Heart . . . For them I dwell in the tabernacle as King of Mercy. I desire to bestow grace upon souls" (Words of Jesus to St. Maria Faustina). Mary, Mother of Mercy, pray for us!

St. Louis Marie de Montfort, Priest, Missionary (1673-1716), France--April 28 He wrote, "Do you hunger for the bread of grace and the bread of life? Draw near to her who bore the living Bread which came down from Heaven." "Place yourself humbly in the presence of God . . . . Renew your consecration [to the Blessed Virgin Mary] saying, I belong entirely to you, dear Mother, and all that I have is yours."

St. Catherine of Siena, Virgin, Doctor and Patron of Italy (1347-1380)--April 29 Prayer for Priests by St. Catherine of Siena: I beseech You, direct the hearts and wills of the servants of Your Bride, the Holy Church, unto Yourself so that they may follow the poor, bleeding, humble, and gentle Lamb of God on the way of the Cross. Make them angels in the shape of men; for after all, they have to administer and distribute the Body and Blood of Your Only Begotten Son! Amen.

The greatest gift of God, the triumph of Jesus life, death and resurrection, is the glorified Body and Blood of His Merciful Presence in the Holy Eucharist!

Healing Intentions: Let us pray before the Eucharistic Throne for an awesome outpouring of Divine Mercy upon the whole world! We pray especially for priests, religious, families, faithful and unfaithful souls and all who need God's love and mercy the most. We invite you to send in the names of loved ones and your intentions to be included in a Divine Mercy novena of Masses and prayers throughout April.

Your generous monthly prayers and donations of $10, $100, $500, $1,000 or more help this apostolate continue on with our mission of mercy ministry. Please remember us when you receive your tax refund, and in your will. (Visa and Mastercard accepted). Thank you. God bless!
